First Time Application to Africa International University AIU’s admission will be based on the strength of student’s high school background, including the degree of difficulty of major selected and record of academic achievement. AIU will also take into account student’s profile and special talents in and outside of the classroom. To be admitted as a first time AIU student, applicants must have graduated from an accredited secondary school. Academic Year / Semester Schedule An academic year at AIU will consist of two 18-week semesters. - Harmathan semester will begin in January and end in May
- Noel semester will begin in August and end in December
Submitting AIU Application As AIU’s application will be highly demanding compared to other higher education institutions in Africa, applicants are advised to begin the process earlier. Potential applicants will be required to submit the following to AIU Office of Undergraduate Admissions: - an application for admission,
- a non-refundable (to be determined)application fee,
- an official high school transcript,
- two to three letters of recommendation
- an essay stating your educational and career goal
- an AIU application.
